I’m going to go through replies to me made on X.com, and reply to them here. For each, I guess I’ll post a link to the reply on X. I hope you’ll make an account and continue the discussion here, at least insofar as you want to chat with me.
Right, it’s OK for reading the news. I’ll continue to use it that way. I just won’t contribute my content to it, build a following (that I can’t actually talk to), or play its game. SangerFeed.org and LarrySanger.org will be the places to find my contributions to the public discourse.
I don’t mind talking, but it won’t be on X.com. It’ll be here. I also have been known to “internet shitdebateargue” TBQH…
Hi yatharth, yep, you are right. Everyone who looks into WMF’s finances can see that they spend a lot of money on (mostly left-wing) activist projects, while simply keeping the servers up and running requires a fraction of their income. It’s a shame that they do not explain more clearly how donations are being spent (i.e., on activism) right when people are making their donation. A lot of people still believe that rank-and-file article writers are paid through their donations. It’s not true. Some fellows are, but again, too many of them are essentially engaged in political activism on the donor dime.
I think you might be right. But I suspect I’ll still be replying to people on X, drawing them over to SangerFeed. Will that succeed? Don’t know. And would that be enough to continue the damage to my mental health and mood? We’ll see…

I believe you. Those who thought Elon would be different, given what we know he has said and done, were just being naive. He did some good things. But it turns out, he actually cranked up the manipulation a notch.

Er, no. I am not asking for advice about how to get un-shadowbanned. I am quitting in protest of the policies and practices that led me to being shadowbanned. If I were un-shadowbanned, I would want an admission and an explanation from X staff (preferably Elon Musk, but whatever) why I was so throttled. Insofar as I must play a certain game carefully in order to get my old reach, I refuse.
Is this hard to understand?
