Hi yatharth, yep, you are right. Everyone who looks into WMF’s finances can see that they spend a lot of money on (mostly left-wing) activist projects, while simply keeping the servers up and running requires a fraction of their income. It’s a shame that they do not explain more clearly how donations are being spent (i.e., on activism) right when people are making their donation. A lot of people still believe that rank-and-file article writers are paid through their donations. It’s not true. Some fellows are, but again, too many of them are essentially engaged in political activism on the donor dime.
