AP reports: Trump withdraws the US from the World Health Organization.
Well, that’s good.

I just learned that, at least according to GPT 4o’s calculation, using GPT 4o mini (via OpenRouter) would cost $0.0374, as in FOUR CENTS, for a 300 page book. Like, $100 would intelligently post-process 2500 books. That just might be the way to do it!
I might have asked this before, but does anybody know of an open source PDF (or JP2) to HTML tool—or, to be clearer, a digitized book to single HTML page tool? A colleague and I have talked about this and we have both done work in this direction. I am just struck by how strange it is that such a thing doesn’t already exist. In fact it seems rather obvious that it should be a command-line tool, because it’s such an obvious and needed task. I’m too old to want to reinvent wheels.
I guess I’m stuck with Tesseract + postprocessing, but the postprocessing is endless. Pretty sure I’ll just install a lightweight LLM on my desktop and use that.
Trump’s inauguration is at noon on Monday. The college football championship game is at 7:30 on Monday. Which will you take in?
A necessary, not an optional cookie.
Stephen Colbert says, “You might not see me again when Donald Trump becomes president.”
This is unintentionally funny. On the one hand, lefties like Colbert have the wacky conspiracy theory that Trump is planning to do a massive fascist crackdown, finally showing what a truly unjust totalitarian he is, just like Hitler! (He was waiting for his second term to show his true colors.)
On the other hand, MAGA and Q types are sharing this because they think Colbert knows he’s going to be arrested for some unknown crimes, most likely crimes against children.
What is most likely is that neither of these things will happen. Knowing that there really are a lot of massive crimes against children covered up by the Establishment—like those perpetrated by Epstein’s and Diddy’s organizations and friends, to say nothing of the many, many others—we can *hope* there will be arrests made and justice done.
But there weren’t in Trump’s first term. Why should we expect them now?
Now, now. Memorialists or symbolists are perfectly willing to say Christ is present at the Lord’s Supper. He is one with the Father and with the Spirit, and he is certainly spiritually present.
When he said, of the bread in the Last Supper, “This is my body” and “Do this in remembrance of me,” he meant our future communions to be a memorial symbol of his only sacrifice, on the cross, as the Lamb of God. So he is present symbolically, in the bread and wine, every bit as much as his body was present in the bread and wine he and his disciples ate at the Last Supper.
So, what we deny is that there is any change in the substance of the wafers and wine. This is unnecessary to suppose, for a whole variety of theologically and scripturally sound reasons, as of course you know, Dr. Sviegel. But for others, I explain in depth in this video (and its predecessor, but this has the meat of the argument):

It’s been over three weeks since I quit posting original content on X.com. I continue to be totally apathetic about it. I feel no renewed pull to post. Any desire I have to engage is satisfied by posting my response here on SangerFeed and linking to it there.
In fact I do feel like I’m communicating to people here—if not yet, then in time. I know the following will grow.
True, and important. Jesus was King of the Jews. So, of course, he was a Jew.
But I hate to break it to you, but that means he was the long-awaited Messiah. And this Messiah and his Apostles said that faithful Gentiles, by their faith, become children of God, true Jews, chosen subjects of the promised kingdom of God, etc.
“And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.” (John 10:16)
One fold, but Gentiles are not really children of the Kingdom, are they?
“And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.” (Mt 8:11-12)

Ray (BitChute founder) is correct.
Well, let’s be clear. BitChute doesn’t actually permit porn; but freedom of porn never was the kind of free expression that it actually mattered to protect. Political speech (and ancillary kinds, such as philosophical and cultural commentary) is what matters to protect. And that is precisely the kind that is under the gravest attack today.
BitChute *does not* censor or deboost any political (or cultural, etc.) speech. If it did, I wouldn’t be associated with it. But I did agree to be on BitChute’s Advisory Board. I have been asked to advise dozens of startups. I almost never agree. BitChute was an easy “yes.”
It is time to dramatically increase the sentences for these crimes. That would be a good first step.

There are 1.4 million American women between 18 and 45 “making content” on OnlyFans. While this is 2% of this segment, the percentage between 18 and 25 must be much higher. At least five or 6% of young women between 20 and 25.
These poor lost souls need our prayers. And any men who pay these virtual prostitutes are also committing a terrible sin.
All should stop immediately and repent.
