This will be a fascinating part of our media world going forward: the use of AI to reconstruct focused, detailed, color video from relatively simple videos.

Coming in a year or two: the automatic conversion of silent movies into talkies.

Gotta tell ya…X.com is indispensable to following a lot of news, of course. I’m not going to deny that. It, and Elon Musk have also been good for the world in the last couple years, on balance. Sure. (I mean, we won’t know *for sure* until time has passed and history is written, but sure.)

But that doesn’t mean I have to use it to build my following. I won’t. I’ve decided: I refuse to put my web presence under the authority of some super-rich, super-connected, super-compromised part of the Establishment, even if it’s, for now, the good part. I will do my best to develop a following *right here*. I’ll do a bit each day to make this website a destination. If I don’t succeed, whatever. I have more important things to do anyway.
