May I gently point out that USAID has existed since 1961 and that the abuses were certainly happening throughout Trump’s first term (no?). So color me confused…why was it not stopped then? Why wait until now to stop it?

The theory is that Trump 1.0 was greatly influenced by mainstream corporate Republicans who misled President, himself being utterly unaware of depths of DC machinations.
